How to Wear Statement Earrings

Earrings are a great way to frame your face, but statement earrings are beautiful and cannot be missed.

Here are some quick tips to wearing statement pieces this season

Remember, you do not want to miss out on a great pair of earrings since they will be the first thing that anyone looking at you will notice.

When wearing statement earrings keep your hair back in a bun or pony tail

This helps to keep the focus on your earrings. You want your earrings to draw attention to your face.  When you have too much going on with your hair competing for attention with your earrings it is distracting for those trying to hold a conversation with you.

Balance your make up with your earrings

If you have colorful large earrings consider wearing minimal makeup. If you have long, shoulder grazing earrings consider going for a smokey eye or a bold red lip.

Pair statement earrings with a casual but classic outfit

Stay away from the ripped jeans crop top and statement earring. Unless you are super trendy, this combination could come off as disheveled and trashy. Consider paring a classic top and black high waist pants with a killer set of statement earrings. Statement earrings are a great way to jazz up your day wear.

Avoid statement earrings with overly (literally) sexy clothing

There is nothing wrong with dressing sexy or looking sexy! You can achieve a sexy look by using statement earrings and simultaneously avoiding scantily clad clothing. Both of them together is akin to adding fire to fire. You don't achieve that balance needed to stay classy.

Be self-indulgent, grab some attention, and frame your face with some of Alora's ear candy!

Our favorite and latest statement earring is a long gold spiral earring. Gold earrings are the most glamorous addition to any outfit.
