The Mustard Seed is a non-profit, Christian, humanitarian organization that responds compassionately to the needs of Alberta’s less fortunate by mobilizing and working with the church and community. Last November we created a special holiday collection titled “Give Hope” exclusive to The Mustard Seed and donated ten dollars from each sale to provide safe shelter, employment services, access to resources, and food. In total, with your support, we raised our goal of $500! However, the ultimate goal of the campaign was to create a stronger Calgary community by giving back and tackling the root causes of poverty.
This year, we are proud to announce that Alora Boutique will once again be working with The Mustard Seed in support of the RESOLVE campaign. The campaign is a unique collaboration of nine partner agencies to build affordable and supported rental housing for 3,000 vulnerable and homeless Calgarians. This is a cause that is very near and dear to us as it has always been the intention of Alora live a meaningful life by treating those around us with kindness and respect and to give back to those less fortunate. The Unlock hope collection was designed to be beautiful, personal and meaningful. Each piece symbolizes an intention and tells a story of individuality, self-expression, love, and friendship.

It is the personal goal of Alora Boutique to raise $1000 by launching our one of a kind, hand-made brass key necklaces exclusive to this amazing and important cause. Each key is engraved with one of seven different words to empower the one who wears it; encouraging hope, freedom, and ownership. Again, we will donate ten dollars from each sale to provide resources, addiction support and affordable housing to those without a place to call home.
In addition to fundraising efforts, on December 14 Alora Boutique will host a free jewelry making workshop with female guests and residents at The Mustard Seed. This workshop is intended to provide disadvantaged women with a new skill and to empower them to rise above poverty. When we live with purpose we not only empower those around us, but ourselves.
