Alora is excited to launch a Mother’s Day jewelry collection in partnership with Unlocking Potential (in support of Louise Dean) titled “Giving Moms The Best”. Ten dollars from the sale of each piece will be donated to Unlocking Potential (UP). In addition to fundraising efforts, on April 22nd, 2017, Alora will host a Mother’s Day brunch for 10 influential Calgary moms and 10 young moms from Unlocking Potential (Louise Dean).

What work does Unlocking Potential do?

Louise Dean focuses on providing a solid framework of programs that develops strong, self-sufficient young mothers and healthy children; alleviating the cycle of poverty for teen mothers by addressing the underlying risk factors. Visit the Louise Dean website to learn more.

Why Louise Dean?

Alora believes in giving back and Unlocking Potential has a personal connection to us. The co-owners Jameela and Peter used the services provided by Unlocking Potential when they became young parents. "Unlocking Potential provided us with the resources we needed to be better parents at a time of uncertainty" - Peter. Alora's "Giving Moms The Best" collection is a way of giving back and thanking Unlocking Potential for the great work they do in the community. What's in the collection?

The collection will consist of our best selling mother and child necklace and limited edition 'Mommy & Me' personalized rose quartz gemstone bracelet.

How can I help?

Each piece in the collection has positive meaning attached to it. When you purchase a piece from the collection, you are encouraged to gift the piece and message to the mother in your life. In addition to that, ten dollars from the sale of each piece will be donated to Unlocking Potential (Louise Dean) to help provide resources and services to young mothers and parents.

Goal of the Campaign

The ultimate goal of the campaign is to create a stronger Calgary community by giving back and tackling the root causes of poverty.
